Why do little Girls love Barbie Dolls

Why do people choose one product over another
I was reading an interesting article in the Irish Examiner where Kehlan Kirwan, Producer & Content Creator - RedEye Media had a conversation with Prof John Sheridan from UCD. They discussed why Barbie Dolls have consistently sold well down the years. Kirwan response was “Girls like dolls,” but Prof Sheridan thought differently and replied. “No. It’s because everything that goes into making up Barbie doll range – the cars, houses and clothes – has some sort of luminous colour to them. They catch the eye.”
All Labelling, even Restaurant Menus work in the very same way. Labels and Menus should represent your brand and what the food stands for. If the food is simple, then keep the food label/menu simple. To use the well-worn phrase, it should do exactly what it says on the tin.
Your Range – Sometimes less is more
It’s great to be able to boast a vast varied large range of food products or voluminous menu. However, at the start, it’s best to keep your range simply. This allows you to prefect recipes and a build a market with an unflawed reputation as a reliable food business.
The best advice is to be an expert in your chosen areas, before branching out and reaching too far.
A food business start-up needs people to believe and trust the food and the taste is consistent. When that happens then you can move on and offer consumers something new and ramp up your food range or menu and the consumer’s interest.
